1) FEATURE FILMS
$Dollars Talk! Helping raise the box office numbers for a film has a direct impact on the movie industry. Dollars talk. So gather your friends and family and get to the movie theatre the weekend the film you want to support opens. Better yet, get there opening day. Opening weekend box office numbers are critical to a film's success and a long run. If you don't make it then, get there as soon as you can and spread the word if you like the film. Word of mouth has driven a failing film to the top in the few weeks following its opening.

2) TELEVISION
Here are two different but equally powerful ways to speak up. Letters and Emails! And not just letters to television company heads but to advertisers as well, who are a driving force in network and basic cable television programming.

a) YOUR LETTER OR EMAIL REPRESENTS 100 PEOPLE. If you got 10 friends together and you each wrote a letter that would be counted by the powers of television as 1,000 letters. Those numbers are taken very seriously.

b) Share your views at a TV show's chat room. Some ad agencies and networks employ people to monitor Internet buzz, says Adam Moore, associate director of diversity at the Screen Actors Guild.

3) WORK ON HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF.
Don't buy into the negative or lack of images you see in the media. It's an old cliché but what matters most is how you see yourself. This is a battle women are constantly fighting. But you must believe In Yourself and Find your own Inner Whistle. Stand Proud of who you are and how smart and valuable you are no matter what age you are, or what size you are, or how many wrinkles you have or do not have. And what ever you do don't stop dreaming!
